CPAC PACKS UP

I had to do what I had to do. So I chugged a bottle of Pepto-Bismol and watched Rush "the ringleader" Limbaugh's closing speech at this years C.P.A.C. [Conservatives Pathetically Accusing Clinton]. I could only tolerate watching him for a few minutes before I had to walk away. Something about the sweaty gray chest hair puffed out of his shirt was rapidly eliminating the possibility of me being able to consume and hold down my pending dinner. But I wanted to hear what he had to say...so I turned up the volume and decided to clean the bathroom. Something about watching him talk inspired me to scrub the toilet.
The news folks told me he was only expected to speak for about 20 minutes....hmmm.....hold on, I'll be right back - - - - - - - - - yeah, he's done I just had to check.
I really prefer to keep my postings here brief so I'm not going to dissect his entire speech. He bounced back and forth between hate and love. And when he spoke of love and how the conservatives love everybody and want everybody to succeed he sounded vaguely....what's the word I'm looking for...oh yeah, LIBERAL. His commentary on how Obama needs people to need the government was purely disgusting. He implied that when the government gives people public assistance they will never strive to do for themselves. I've known quite a few people that had to be on welfare at one point or another. I never heard someone recieve their $165 of food stamps and proclaim "I'm rich, I'm rich! I'll never have to go back to school or work again!" In the past Rush Limbaugh has made me angry. This time I kind of just caught myself feeling bad for him. He's clearly an emotionally disturbed individual. The right wing wants Obama to fail. Rush reiterated that point and even Tom DeLay agrees in kind. President Obama has been in office for less than 50 days and the Republicans have declared him a potential disaster to the nation. I find it grossely hippocritical that some pundits on the right have been telling us we may have to wait up to 50 years to realize that 'The Bush War' was the correct thing to do, yet before any of Obama's policies are even implemented, before the ink on the bills are even dry they are declaring failure. Limbaugh's theatrical oratary didn't sound like a shot in the arm for the conservatives to take back their country. Quite simply, it sounded like a eulogy for a philosophy that doesn't have a place in modern America any longer.
