....OSCAR!Perhaps once every 3 years I choose to take interest in the Academy Awards. I was happy this year to see most of the nominated films and had formed my own opinions of who should win the coveted honor.
Generally, I was pleased with the results.
I definitely cheered for Sean Penn. I was so pleased to see him get recognized for a performance that jolted me into doing more research on the gay rights movement.
I was very impressed with the format of the entire show.
I really feel like they finally got it right. By taking the snob level down a few notches I think it really brought the audience closer to the whole experience.
Unsure of what to expect from him, I found Hugh Jackman to be greatly entertaining. And most importantly, it looked like he was having fun.
I don't remember ever laughing so much during the Academy Awards.
Kudos AMPAS. This one left the ballpark!
