14 minutes 45 seconds and counting...

Yesterday I got a chance to see this guy from the audience of the Late Show with David Letterman.
I have to say that the whole experience was incredibly fun! The old Ed Sullivan theatre is really beautiful inside and you can feel all the history of the place in the walls around you.
When I found out the night before I was going to be seeing this guy at the show I got so excited. I'm such a current events junkie and this was right up my alley.
It turned out to be a very odd interview. The audience was instantly skeptical and somewhat hostile towards the guy...but he just has this thing about him that you have to watch and listen...kind of like passing a car accident on the highway.
His spiel is staying the same as he makes the rounds of pretty much every talk show currently in production. He gets SO close to making a valid point about his rights but always seems to fall short. I really got a good laugh after the show ended. The pages throw open the fire exit doors after the taping and we all get cattle driven from the theater onto 53rd street. I immediately noticed the camera lights to my right and a gaggle of reporters. Sure enough there's B-Rod in the middle. This guy clearly loves attention. I used to love this joke I heard when I lived in upstate New York..The fastest way to an injury is to get between a camera and Chuck Schumer.
But as far as being a camera ham goes...I think Rod has him beat.
So now that he's running out of television shows to appear on until we get closer to his criminal trial Rod needs to understand that the end is near.
His 15 minutes is just about up.
